Ravello Festival 2026: An unforgettable summer at Villa Rufolo featuring Monteverdi, Wagner, great orchestras, distinguished conductors and outstanding soloists
For the 74th edition of the historic festival organised by the Ravello Foundation and supported by the Campania Region, 22 events spanning opera, symphonic repertoire, Baroque music, jazz, theatre and chamber music, all set against the most beautiful panorama in the world
Ravello (Salerno), 4 July - 5 September 2026
The flowering gardens of Villa Rufolo, with their luxuriant bougainvillea, colourful flowerbeds, palms, pines and cypresses, are once again preparing to welcome some of the world’s finest orchestras and most celebrated artists, primarily on the spectacular Belvedere terrace overlooking the sea, offering audiences the unique experience of the Ravello Festival, now in its 74th edition.
From 4 July to 5 September, 22 events organised by the Ravello Foundation – chaired by Alessio Vlad, with Maurizio Pietrantonio as General Director and Lucio Gregoretti as Artistic Director – and made possible through the support of the Campania Region, will unfold against one of the world’s most breathtaking landscapes, enveloped by the scents of the sea and Amalfi Coast lemons and illuminated by the colours of sunset and dawn.
In this magical setting, which once enchanted Richard Wagner and inspired the garden of Klingsor in Parsifal, audiences will enjoy numerous Italian exclusives featuring distinguished conductors and soloists including Daniele Gatti, Jordi Savall, Kent Nagano, Sir John Eliot Gardiner, Sir Simon Rattle, Giovanni Sollima, Jan Lisiecki, Jean-Efflam Bavouzet and Isabelle Faust. They will perform alongside ensembles such as the Orchestra del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, Le Concert des Nations, Ensemble Pygmalion, the Italian National Symphony Orchestra of RAI, the Gustav Mahler Jugendorchester and The Constellation Choir and Orchestra. The programme also includes leading jazz artists such as Rick Margitza and Rita Marcotulli, as well as collaborations with musical institutions from across Campania, all contributing to the unique experience of the Ravello Festival. |
