The 3 finalists of the 68th Maria Canals Barcelona Competition have been announced

[ Din categoria News ] [ Data articol: 2023-03-27 ] [ Din localitatea Barcelona ] [ Tara Spania ]   The 3 finalists for the Grand Final of the 68th Maria Canals International Music Competition have been announced On Wednesday, March 29, at 8:00 p.m., the Grand Final of the 68th edition of the Maria Canals Competition will be held at Barcelona`s Palau de la Música Catalana The Jove Orquestra Nacional de Catalunya will be in charge of accompanying the finalists, under the direction of Manel Valdivieso The three finalists are Ukrainian Roman Lopatynskyi, Russian Valentin Malinin and American Jonathan Mamora. On Wednesday, March 29 at 8:00 p.m., the Grand Final of the 68th edition of the Maria Canals International Music Competition will be held in the concert hall of the Palau de la Música Catalana, Barcelona, and it will count for another year with the support of the Banco Sabadell Foundation. These are the three finalists this year (in order of participation) and the works they will perform: 28 Lopatynskyi, Roman - Ukraine - 29 years old M. RAVEL, Piano Concerto in G major 29 MAMORA, Jonathan - USA - 27 years old S. RACHMANINOV, Piano Concerto no. 3 in D minor, op. 30 42 MALININ, Valentin - Russia - 21 years old P. I. TCHAIKOVSKY, Piano Concerto no. 1 in B flat minor, op. 23 The pianist who obtains the highest score from the jury will win the long-awaited Jesús Serra Foundation Award, endowed with 25, 000 euros and concerts with an orchestra in various cities in Spain.
