Torre del Lago Puccini. A small village, only 11000 people, located into Viareggio region, Toscana, west-north of Italy. But very well-known by the classic and opera music lovers, because here lived and composed the big composer Giacomo Puccini.

Born 30 km from here, in Lucca, Puccini first went to Milan and other faimous cities in the world of opera, then he bought a placed and lived in Torre del Lago, which add at its name the name of the faimous composer. Here Puccini found the silense of a big lake, close to the birthplace and the sea, an ideal environment for composing.

When you arive in Torre for the first time, you see... that is nothing to see! The village has nothing special, but because Puccini lived ther gives a special emotion. Yearly they organise the Summer Opera Festival, most of it with operas composed by Puccini. And the way from the railway station to the festival and the lake is a long street named "Giacomo Puccini street". This is logic and not interesting, but, walking to the opera theatre, you can not miss the names of the streets who starts from the main street: Trittico, Boheme, Tosca, Turandot, La Rondine, G. Schicchi, Tabarro, Butterfly!

The Opera Theatre is not SPECTACULOS. Is made by iron, but is big. But the lake is! Is like a small sea, having on the other part hills who looks like mountains, the shape of some of them looking like Tampa from Brasov city or Magura Vulturului near the same Brasov.

The performance, Turnadot, is ready to begin. But for me, it starts with a dissapoinment: Elena Mosuc, who should sang Liu, is ill and she was replaced. The hall is also not full, negative reason, but, in stead, the moon walked all over the show above the scene, cuting this minuses. The decors are full colored and the background, an wood house, shows the place of the opera, in China. The interpretation was good, as always in italia. Nothing exagerated, only the place, who always sais "Here lived Puccini! " Nessun dormaaaa!
